Brothers and Sisters in Christ –
After months of pleading with God and his saints, especially Saint Cecilia, to send our parish someone to lead our music program the resounding answer became abundantly clear. “I already have.” From when I first convinced this parishioner to leave her Sunday morning soccer league to come sing for our parish to now I introduce to you our newly hired Coordinator for Sacred Music - Tess Greco! Tess has already been a huge blessing for our parish music endeavor and has agreed to come on parish staff to advance sacred music in the liturgy for the edification and sanctification of all. Tess will be leaving FOCUS (Fellowship of Catholic University Students) after the past three years of Mission work on campus and her present role with FOCUS working at the Support center. I think she shares the same gratitude and joy I have for that same organization I left 15 years ago as a FOCUS missionary to begin seminary formation at Saint John Vianney. Her background in advancing the Gospel rooted in her love for Christ will carry over well in the evangelical beauty with which she will adorn our liturgy.
We are so very thankful Tess for agreeing to come on as a full-time member of our team. Tess’ first week will be in late January – the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul – Jan 25.
Please join me in welcoming her.
Yours in Christ the Shepherd –
Fr. Nathan
